Bio: Ru completed his PhD at the University of Science and Technology of China in the department of Physics (2009-2014). He also visited the Department of Materials Science and Technology at the University of Washington (2011-2012) during his pursuit of PhD. Then he joined the department of Electrical and Electronic Technology at the Hefei University of Technology (HFUT) as an assistant professor (2014-2016), and became an associate professor at HFUT from 2017 until now. His research focuses on next-generation low-cost, high-performance photovoltaic devices, including antimony selenosulfide solar cells, perovskite solar cells, quantum dot-sensitized solar cells, etc. Ru started his visit to the Hoye group at the University of Oxford from Feb. 2023, mainly working on antimony sulfide based light absorbers for indoor photovoltaic application.
