Bio: Daniel completed his PhD at Imperial College London in the Department of Materials and London Centre for Nanotechnology, with research focusing on the plasmonic enhancement effects of metallic nanostructures for fluorescence imaging (2012-2017). He then joined the Plasmon Nanotechnologies group at the Italian Institute of Technology as a postdoc (2018-2021), researching sensing materials and plasmonic nanostructures for biosensing applications. He has now returned to the Department of Materials at Imperial as a postdoc to develop nanostructured surfaces for packaging applications.
